All American Bike Rentals offers a wide selection of bicycle types (beach cruiser bikes being the most popular) and bicycle attachments for adults and children visiting Hilton Head. Our equipment is kept in top condition with constant maintenance and a policy to replace a certain percentage of our bikes each year so no bike is more than 3 years old. We keep our bikes and attachments stored in our warehouse or under cover outside when they are not in use. All American Bike Rentals is a division of Palmetto Bikes, Inc..

All American Bike Rentals has been serving the needs of Hilton Head Island visitors, and residents alike, for over 25 years. Your bicycle order is delivered to where you are staying on Hilton Head and picked up at the end of the bike rental period at no charge. We also provide locks and a basket for each bike free of charge.

With a fleet of trucks and trailers, we offer bicycle delivery service island-wide. We are conveniently located at 24 Palmetto Bay Road at the Bridge Shops complex on the south end of Hilton Head. During the summer months, spring break, Easter, and Thanksgiving periods it is advisable to make reservations at least two weeks in advance as we often run out of bikes. You can place your order online at this web site or call us directly (see "Contact" section). We do not charge your credit card until the day we deliver your bike order. And we do not charge a penalty for cancellation should your plans change.

Hilton Head is a bicyle friendly community offering over 100 miles of off-street bike trails and 12 milesof beach to ride on. You can view pictures of this system in our Area Photos page listed under Things Of Interest. You can virtually get to just about any place on Hilton Head Island on a bike.

Riding on the beach is one of the joys of bicycling on Hilton Head.

When the tide is low the sand is hard packed and makes for easy pedaling. You can ride a bike from one end of the Hilton Head to the other and only once have to cross a tidal creek.

We urge you not to ride your bike through wet sand or water as the salt is very corrosive and will rapidly eat away the lubricants causing rust. We do not allow renters to take our mountain bikes on the beach at all. There is a stiff fine if we find someone has done so.

Every tenth of a mile there are location markers that can be used as a reference point should
you need emergency assistance or to indicate to someone your position.

All American Bike Rentals is also home to the Allaben Fine Art Gallery located in our office space. It may be an unusual venue for an art gallery, but we think you will overlook that when you view the fine collection of oil and watercolor paintings created by this "in house" Hilton Head artist. Lowcountry paintings predominate, but there are also landscape paintings of other areas as well as some figurative paintings.

There are original paintings for sale as well as prints, cards, and giclee reproductions...
all at very reasonable prices.
